Procedures for Coaches to Request Extra Practices

Extra Practice Request Procedures(An email will be sent each season when this process begins)

You may schedule 1 additional field practice per week if there is a field available. Our week runs Sunday thru Saturday.

You are not limited to just your age groups field but can request any open field. You may also schedule 1 batting cage practice per week on top of an extra field practice.

The batting cages schedule is on the website. The cages can only be reserved in 1 hour slots and they are scheduled on the hour. 

A field or cage practice can be requested no more than 7 days in advance, but can be requested up to that day if need be. (ex. you may schedule a Monday practice the Monday before). If a field is open 24 hours in advance, you may request it even if you have had an additional field practice that week.  Any request that comes in after 2:00pm on a Friday may or may not be answered until the following Monday.

Please send a separate email to schedule a practice. Do not respond to a mass email I might send out as those responses can sometimes get lost in the shuffle. Also, I will not fill a request that is sent in text or by phone message. You must check the schedule and send me the date, time and field you are requesting. Any request that comes in without this information will not be filled. You are responsible for checking the schedule.

 I will not take practice requests for Fridays for fields scheduled to have games on Saturday's so that the fields may be prepped for Saturday games.  Friday practices can be held on any field not in play on Saturday.  All requests are on a first come first serve basis and if need be I will go by email time and date if two teams are requesting the same field at the same time. Please be mindful that we have very few spots open during our practice periods and let's try to give everyone a shot at an extra practice if they want one.

 The easiest way to see what is available is to go to our website www.mjleague.org then click the schedules tab.  Once there, you can sort by each field to find open spaces.  We can only add practices to our 13 fields or our three batting cages.
