Softball League Structure for Fall Seasons
The softball league is sanctioned with NSA.
Approximate dates for fall seasons: online registration begins in June, evaluations end of July, practices begin first of August, games begin late August with regular season games ending the first week of October and a year end tournament to be hosted after Wilson County fall break(subject to change as the board sees fit).
(Note: Softball playing age for the Fall 2024 season is determined by the player's age on December 31, 2024)
T-Ball 4/5 (Playing Age 4/5)
- Approximately 7 games played on Saturdays
- Play is instructional
- Score is not kept and there are no umpires
- Shirt provided
- Teams are formed by blind draw
PeeWee (Playing Age 6,7 & 8)
- Approximately 12 games played one during the week and one on Saturday's
- One junior umpire per game
- Base paths at 60 feet
- Shirt provided
- Teams are formed by player draft following an evaluation
- Post season single elimination tournament
Minor (Playing Age 9 & 10 )
- Approximately 12 game played in a double header format on weeknights(2 games on one night during the week)
- Two umpires per game
- Pitching Rubber at 35 feet, base paths at 60 feet
- Shirt provided
- Teams are formed by player draft following an evaluation
- Post season single elimination tournament
Major (Playing Age 11,12 & 13)
- Approximately 12 games played in a double header format on weeknights(2 games on one night during the week)
- Two umpires per game
- Pitching Rubber at 40 feet, base paths at 60 feet
- Shirt provided
- Teams are formed by player draft following an evaluation
- Post season single elimination tournament
Senior (Playing Age 14 - 18 )
- Approximately 12 games played on weeknights.
- Two umpires per game
- Pitching Rubber at 43 feet, base paths at 60 feet
- Shirt provided
- Teams are formed by player draft following an evaluation
- Post season single elimination tournament
